29-member delegation (including 5
professors and many students and postgraduates) from the Seoul
National Universe, headed by professor Song Inho, paid a working
visit to the Hanoi Architectural University on 26 January 2005.
The delegation visited Vietnam in the
framework of the research program on architectural charges of the
Hanoi Old Quarters Sponsored by the South Korean researchers will
come to Vietnam twice a year. This visit is aimed at founding the
initial relationship so that the Hanoi Architectural University can
give opportunities to Korean architectural professors and experts to
research and exchange their experience.
The Seoul National University's
delegation was received by Assoc- Prof. Dr. Arch. Tran Trong Hanh -
The Hanoi Architectural University rector, Architect Le Quang Thong
- director of the International Cooperation Center and other
Vietnamese experts. Rector Tran Trong Hanh warmly welcomed
delegation and directly introduced the Hanoi Architectural
University's training work and international cooperation. He also
sketched Hanoi's development history and architectural
characteristics along Vietnam's history and socio-economic
development through typical and suggestive examples for research
activities under the program.
Prof. Song Inho sincerely expressed his
gratitude to the Vietnamese side's warm welcome. He pointed out that
the valuable information obtained during the visit world be the
foundation for them to promote their research program.
After reception, the Seoul National
University's delegation visited and had meetings with some
departments. |
