- Foreign
language centre was established in 1987. Its precursor was Russian
subject, it has been established and developed from the university'
s foundation since 1969
- The center’s mandates are clearly
defined in the Decision on approval of development and construction
project of the Faculty of Urban Management No. 604 /QĐ/ ĐHKT- TH
dated 20 April 2006 of Rector of Hanoi Architectural University.
- In the early 1980s, apart from
teaching foreign language at the university, the Centre has also
participated in translation officer training program for Song Da
hydroelectric power plant organized by Ministry of Construction at
Construction Secondary School No. 1, some lecturer of the Centre
were appointed to teach for officer of Song Da hydroelectric power
plant and Pha Lai thermo-electric plant.
- The Centre has translated many
documents to use for the training task of the University
- Since 1987, the Centre has
participated in training and improving foreign language for the
officer of technological scientific specialty of Ministry of
Construction.
1. What we do:
- Hold
a training course to teach foreign languages (English, French) for
students of the University;
- Participating in scientific research
technological transfer activities
- Cooperating with relevant local and
international organizations
- Translating various kinds of
document, interpreting at many conferences, including conferences of
Architecture, Engineering, Infrastructure Techniques and Urban
Environment, Urban management...

Centre has 23 lecturers, including 9 Masters; 5 main lecturers; 13
lecturers hold 2 diploma of foreign language bachelor.

lecturers by 2010 and Centre office will has 1 secretary
4. Facilities for training:
- Lab
room with Computer
- 2 Computer offices were installed
the Langmaster program and Techwin use
- CD, film documentation are used for
teaching foreign language of common and professional level.
