- The
Faculty of Infrastructure Techniques and Urban Environment was
established in October 1969.
- The Faculty’s mandates are clearly
defined in the Decision 600 QĐ/ ĐHKT- TH dated 20th April, 2006 of
the Rector of Hanoi Architecture University.
- The Faculty’s staff and Departments
are directly in charge of and take part in many scientific research
at national, sector and grassroots levels for the sake of education,
training and application. In the recent years, the Faculty has
completed 1 research at national level, 3 at sector and many others
at university level;
- It has achieved many local and
international prizes for its scientific research and application of
information technology software into urban planning;
- Many designs for urban planning,
industrial zone, rural residential areas, tourist spots, physical
and technical infrastructure projects in the fields of: urban
transportation, technical prepareness and completion, water drainage
and supply, electricity supply… made by the Faculty’s staff were
used for actual construction works, namely: Detailed Design for Cai
Mep Industrial Zone, small capacity water treatment station,
detailed design for the Dinh Tram new residential zone in Bac Giang,
Planning Software (won VIFOTEC third prize …)
- The Faculty’s students have received
many great prizes, honoured rewards or certificates for their
scientific research, graduation
dissertation, and Olympic contests.

2. Degrees and qualifications:
- Water
drainage and supply Engineers: a 5 year program with 260 modular
credits covering 3 major groups of modules: 14 foundation modules,
24 professional fundamental modules, 27 specialization modules and
graduation thesis.
- Urban Infrastructure Techniques
Engineers: a 5 year program with 263 modular credits covering 3
major groups of modules: 20 foundation modules, 18 professional
fundamental modules, 18 specialization modules and graduation
thesis.
- Urban Environment Techniques
Engineers: a 5 year program with 263 modular credits covering 3
major groups of modules: 20 foundation modules, 19 professional
fundamental modules, 17 specialization modules and graduation
thesis.

4. Staff and lecturers
- The
Faculty has numbered 43 teachers of whom 4 are associate Professors,
5 Doctors, 15 Masters, 23 Engineers and BSc. They are all devoting
time and efforts for over 700 undergraduates.
- 60 people will be found by 2010 in
the Faculty’s staff. The faculty office consists of assistants (who
are also teachers) responsible for supporting the Dean on training
and student administration and 2 other secretaries.
