-    Post-graduate Faculty was established in 1991.

-   The Faculty is a Unit of Basic Administration of the University, has functions of an advisor to help the Rector organize and manage training programs for Masters and Doctors, improve post-graduate; advise in activities of scientific researches and technology transference, domestic and international cooperation in the related fields and responsibilities of Post-graduate Faculty are stipulated in Decision on approval of development and construction project No. 602 /QĐ/ ĐHKT- TH dated 20 April 2006 of Rector of Hanoi Architectural University.

-   Post-graduate Faculty will have trained 65 Doctors and 709 Masters by 2006.

1. What we do:

-    Participate in activities of scientific researches and technology transference in post-graduate training and related fields.

-   Training Doctors, Masters and domestic post-graduate improvement according to assigned targets.

-   Cooperate in training Doctors, Masters and organizing Short-term courses with universities, training centers, and domestic and international institutes. The university has been implementing 2 associate training projects with Melbourne University (Australia) & Toulouse University of Architecture (France);

-   Cooperate in training Doctors associate with Melbourne University (Australia) according to Decision No. 7581/QD-BGD&DT-VP of Ministry of Education and Training on Specialty of Architecture, Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, Estate and Construction. Doctor Degree issued by Melbourne University. 

       Since 2001, the Faculty has been training the Master Program of Urban design, Heritage and Stability development specialty in French by co-operation with Toulouse University of Architecture (France). Up to now, the Faculty has enrolled 5 courses with 85 trainees. There are 24 graduated trainees. Master Diploma is signed by Hanoi Architectural University and Toulouse University of Architecture and has validity in Vietnam and Europe.

2. Degrees and qualifications:

-    Architectural Doctor Degree is issued for 4 specialties of Doctor training program: Theory and History of Architecture - Code No. 62.58.01.01, Project Architecture - code no. 62.58.01.05, Regional Planning - Code No. 62.58.05.01, Rural and Urban Planning - Code No. 62.58.05.05.

-   Engineering Doctor Degree is issued for 3 specialties of Doctor training program: Industrial and Civil Engineering - Code No. 62.58.20.01, Water supply - Code No. 62.58.70.01, Urban Infrastructure Technology - Code No. 62.58.22.01.

-   Doctor of Project and Urban Management - Code No. 62.58.10.01 is issued for Doctor of Project and Urban Management

-   Master Degree of Architecture is issued for 2 specialties of Master training program: Architecture - Code No. 60.58.01, Planning - Code No. 60.58.05.

-   Master Degree of Technology is issued for 3 specialties of Master training program: Industrial and Civil Engineering - Code No. 60.58.20, Urban Infrastructure Technology - Code No. 60.58.22, Water supply - Code No. 60.58.70.

-   Master Degree of Urban Management - Code No. 60.58.10 is issued for specialty of Urban and Project Management

-   Post-graduate Certificate is issued for short-term training course; candidates are the people who have University or Post-graduate Diplomas of specialties: Architecture, Planning, Civil engineering, Urban management, Urban Infrastructure Technology, Water supply.

4. Staff and Lecturers:

-     Staff of the Faculty consists of Professors, Associate Professors, and Doctors. Total of lecturers who are teaching at Post-graduate Faculty are 114 teachers, of whom, 60 are personnel of the University.

-   Personnel of the Faculty will be 8 people by 2010.
